Because of the new and
improved technological advances, the popularity of normal cameras, such as
Nikons and SLR’s, has dithered. Most photography that you see online is taken
from a phone. These new phones have developed so much to have a high-quality lens
in them. Thusly, this means photographs don’t have to be taken with a fancy
camera, but rather a common smartphone. Photography has turned from being a
thought out process, capturing a moment, into a quick snapshot of something
that you see with any camera. Nowadays, you can get tripods and phone
attachments that enhance the quality of the photograph that you have taken from your phone. This decreases the
value of a SLR camera. The quality of the photograph from the phone is also not
up to par with a SLR. If a photograph taken from a phone Is blown up and printed,
the image will not keep it’s beauty, as the pixel count will decrease. The blown
up photo becomes pixelated and blurry and hard to make out. In a different
perspective, phones with cameras could be an invention that could lead to great
things. The development of a camera that could be with you wherever and does
not add any extra weight is an amazing concept. Your camera will be ready when
you are to take a photograph. This means any time you need to quickly snap a
photograph, you can without the hassle of taking out your camera, turning it
on, focusing the lens and more. This means more memories can be captured. In years
future, you can look back at these photographs and say “oh yeah! I remember that
day!” Along with this, the increasing quality of phone cameras means that you can
take a nice looking photograph without a SLR. I don't think that photography has died but has taken on a new form.
