Online Art Generators

In this art generator (http://www.zefrank.com/flowers/) you are able to make beautiful flowers by just the click of your mouse. You are able to choose how many petals you want, the color, the shape of the petal, and the opacity. Where you click will determine where the petal will appear and,  depending of how many you choose, they will circle around. I really enjoyed playing with this generator as it did not take any skill or a artful eye to make a pretty flower.

The art generator from http://windowseat.ca/viscosity/index.php let you create modern art through as simple set of colored bars. You get to choose the type of brush you want and then you warp the bars. The color of the bars are up to you as well as the background. I stuck with the simple black to white palette and a contrasting red in the background. This generator let you create a cool image without needing a keen eye for art.

http://bomomo.com/ gave you the option of constant motion in your piece. As brushes followed your mouse, colors would leave a trail if you clicked and held. In this, most of the color options were left to the generator. All you had to do was choose a style you want and move your mouse. I enjoyed this website as you could jut play around and create very interesting pieces of art.

Camera in Every Pocket

Because of the new and improved technological advances, the popularity of normal cameras, such as Nikons and SLR’s, has dithered. Most photography that you see online is taken from a phone. These new phones have developed so much to have a high-quality lens in them. Thusly, this means photographs don’t have to be taken with a fancy camera, but rather a common smartphone. Photography has turned from being a thought out process, capturing a moment, into a quick snapshot of something that you see with any camera. Nowadays, you can get tripods and phone attachments that enhance the quality of the photograph that you have taken from your phone. This decreases the value of a SLR camera. The quality of the photograph from the phone is also not up to par with a SLR. If a photograph taken from a phone Is blown up and printed, the image will not keep it’s beauty, as the pixel count will decrease. The blown up photo becomes pixelated and blurry and hard to make out. In a different perspective, phones with cameras could be an invention that could lead to great things. The development of a camera that could be with you wherever and does not add any extra weight is an amazing concept. Your camera will be ready when you are to take a photograph. This means any time you need to quickly snap a photograph, you can without the hassle of taking out your camera, turning it on, focusing the lens and more. This means more memories can be captured. In years future, you can look back at these photographs and say “oh yeah! I remember that day!” Along with this, the increasing quality of phone cameras means that you can take a nice looking photograph without a SLR. I don't think that photography has died but has taken on a new form.
