I believe that it is not right for a photographer to manipulate a
picture in a way that misinterprets the actual story. This is not the job for
the photographer. The photographer should capture the truth in the story, not
what the media wants the people to believe. I think it is not the
photographers choice to manipulate the view of a photo to make it fit with a
specific story line better. The photographer should use his or her photography skills
to capture the most truth. I would say that the only room for modification is
through what is written on the picture(like the title) not the actual image
itself.

Composition Rules
Composition Rules
In this image, balance is definitely shown. On each side of the girl with her head leaning over, there are about two girls. Also, this image exemplifies the rule of odds being that there is an odd number of girls in the frame. Some space is left around the girls, but the girls show filing the frame more. the image does follow the rule of simplification being that all the girls are wearing the same outfit, in the same pose, and are just standing. Lines are being made with their arms and legs. the picture is showing symmetry. The background of this piece is the ballet bar and the dance room. the orientation of this piece is horizontal.
This image shows one focus which means it follows the odd rule. the rule of thirds is kinda in play for this picture being that it is a little more to the left of the frame. space is left in the clouds and the grass. Lines are shown in the fence and the on the horse as well as the trees. Some patterns are seen in the fencing. Color is used a lot in this picture whether it be the grass or the sky or the horse and jockey. Texture is shown in the grass. The background would include the grass, bystanders, sky and trees. Depth is shown by the horse being more in focus than the background.
The zebra image has one middle focus, being the two zebras. space is left in between the zebras. The frame is being filled by the zebras and also shows simplification. Balance is fro sure being used in this photograph. Lines are being used all over this photograph in the zebras stripes as well as in the small blue bird. patterns are used in this pice through the zebras. Just pops of color are in this piece like in the blue bird and the grass. texture is found in the zebras hair and grass. symmetry is all over this piece, in the stripes and the zebras heads themselves.
This photo shows the golden ratio a little bit being that the girls playing with the ball are about in the middle of the picture and the blanket surrounds them. This picture also shows balance by having the bigger subject and a less important background. Lines are shows in the picture form the lines on the blanket to the girls braids and shirts. Patterns are also shown in the blanket.Bright colors are the main component of this piece being all over the blanket and the ball and it evokes a happy emotion. Texture is shown in the folds of the blanket and the girls hair. Some symmetry is shown in this photograph.
This photograph focuses a lot on the background. You are able to see more of the depth in the picture by how the railroad gets smaller as you look into the picture. Your eyes want to follow the railroad until the end. Some space is left in the top right corner where the clouds are. The photographer uses balance in this photo by adding the trees in the background. Lines are definitely used in this photograph like in the fencing and the tracks. Texture is found everywhere on this photograph like in the rusty tracks and the trees. symmetry in the tracks are shown as well. The cool colors of this piece makes you feel calm.
This piece follows the rule of thirds pretty well having a subject filling each third of the photograph. Space is left all around the subjects to emphasize them. The subject also fills the frame nicely. Simplification was used in this image being that the background did not have anything going on. The color in the subject suggest a happy feeling but the background is a boring and kinda dreary gray. Texture is shown in the the bruises and cuts of the pear.

Is it ART? Response
Is it Art?
I believe that the picture would be
considered art. This picture could be considered art for many reasons including
the fact that a person is viewing it through their ayes. Anything can be art.
It’s just a matter of who is viewing the piece and what the artist wants to
portray the photo as. Art can be just a way of a person expressing his thoughts
or ideas and what the artist wants to say to the viewers. The person viewing
the piece becomes the person the artist wants to talk to and in this picture,
the artist is talking through he picture of the man with a very open mouth. He
could be saying that some people say more than what their mouth can handle.
